Rose's Meat Market and Sweet Shop is holding a hands on whole hog butchery class at Yellow Wolf Farm on January 27th. Come out to this Animal Welfare Approved farm and spend the day learning to butcher and make sausage with Justin and Katie Meddis of Rose's and James Naquin from Guglhupf.
They will have two heritage breed hogs from Yellow Wolf Farm to work with where you can practice your butchery with guidance. They will serve you lunch and you will take home 1/6 of a pig broken down into various cuts. Four pork chops, two large roasts, 1/3 of a belly in a cure for bacon, 2 lbs of sausage, stewing meat, lard, bones, and skin. Here is a link to the event:
