Sante Wine Bar at the Grove Arcade - Great spot to relax over wine with friends!
I wanted to catch up with a friend so we agreed to meet
at Santé Wine Bar at the Grove Arcade. This was
my first return visit to Santé in a few years so I was anxious to see what it
was like again. I wasn’t
disappointed. We sat looking out the
windows toward Page Avenue surrounded by large pieces of art and relaxing
sitting areas.
While waiting for my friend to show up I ordered a half
bottle of the Gruet Blanc de Noirs ($14.50).
This is a nice sparkling wine from New Mexico that offers a rich, toasty
charm mingled with hints of berries and a creamy texture. The acidity makes it welcome with many items
on the food menu.

| Bruschetta |
We weren’t having a full meal so picked the Bruschetta
($5.) and the Cheese Board ($14.). The
Bruschetta is wonderful and gives you the opportunity to build your own style –
it’s like an upscale lunchables for adults, great concept! The Cheese Board allowed us three choices
from the selections of cheeses available.
We went with a local Chevre, a Spanish Manchego and an aged Gouda from
Cypress Grove. They were all good but
the aged Gouda stole the show, simply amazing.

| Cheese Board |
There are a variety of dips, cheese and salads on the menu
as well as a nice assortment of wines, bubbly and beer. Be sure to keep this on your short list of
stops to use when going out or catching up with friends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable so
don’t be shy.
